Awhile ago I got nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award. I thanked the person who nominated me but never posted about it. Then I got nominated for the One Lovely Blog Award, so I felt it was time to take action.
These awards are basically traffic promoters for your blog; a form of blog chain mail if you will. I’m not trying to sound cynical, I appreciate being nominated and I’m stoked that people actually read my blog. When I started this thing I didn’t think anyone would ever read it, now I see traffic from all over the world. Not a ton of traffic, but traffic just the same. 
So, to take part in these awards, you are supposed to reveal 7 things about yourself and nominate 15 other blogs (this is where that traffic creation comes into play). Those 15 blogs are then supposed to do the same thing (one grain of rice soon becomes millions). I don’t want to force 15 other people to take part in this if they don’t want to, but I will list some blogs I like and leave them to their own whimsy whether or not they want to repost.

And for those 7 things about me: I love the rain, I love my cat Barley even more than the rain, I’m about to move to Dallas, TX (eek!) - came crawling back to Seattle already, I think cake is the best dessert on the planet, I buy kitchen gadgets instead of new clothes, my favorite color is blue and I hate scary movies.
